Aldo Salvent is an award-winning saxophonist, composer, arranger, educator, producer, and author. He holds a Doctoral degree from the University of Miami Frost School of Music and has studied jazz performance under Gary Campbell, Gary Keller, Rich Perry, Seamus Blake, and Bob Franceschini.
As a saxophonist, Dr. Salvent has performed and toured in over 20 countries, collaborating with a diverse range of artists including Maria Schneider, Paquito D’Rivera, Brian Lynch, Ingrid Jensen, Sammy Figueroa, Ken Peplowski, Christine Jensen, Waldo Madera, Chuck Bergeron, Jamie Ousley, and Mike Orta.
In January 2015, Aldo released his debut solo album, Da Capo, on Dazzle Recordings, earning outstanding reviews from "All About Jazz." In October 2019, he followed up with his second album, Ancestros. From 2017 to 2021, he served as an adjunct professor of saxophone at Florida International University Wertheim School of Music.
In addition to leading his own project, the Aldo Salvent Quintet, he performs as a sideman with Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Brian Lynch, the Latin Grammy-nominated group PALO!, and the Alfredo Chacón Quartet.
